Lowlands Farm has been in the Withers family for five generations.
Based in south west Birmingham, we farm 400 acres of mixed land between arable and livestock.
Originally a small family farm starting with just ten cows a lot has changed over the years but one thing remains the same- the passion and commitment to local and sustainable British farming.
We currently run a mix of 60 suckler cows and 400 ewes.
Around 40ha (100 acres) are for crops consisting of wheat, barley and oats, most of which is grown for feed.
Alongside this we have a few chickens, ducks, geese, cats, dogs, oh and a couple of peacocks just for fun!
As the farm has grown, we have diversified into butchery and now have an established family butchers shop in the local village less than 4 miles away.
